Tiger Men - Barry Petersen

Vietnam War hero soldier and member of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam, the late Barry Petersen AM MC MiD, in 1988 wrote a compelling autobiographical book TIGER MEN: an Australian Soldier's Secret War in Vietnam, which is being republished this year with updates and new information.

The final formatting and setup process requires a bit more time to ensure a flawless reading experience for both the eBook and print versions, including the final Amazon link, so regrettably I've had to postpone making the book available on the anniversary date of Oct 14, 2025.

I don't have a new release date yet, but I will announce it here the moment I know, and will be worth the wait!

This new edition of Tiger Men is significant because October 14th, 2025 is the 60th anniversary of Petersen's untimely forced expulsion from the Central Highlands of Vietnam. His clandestine AATTV and CIA-sponsored mission of training and operating a 1200+ man guerilla force of Montagnard mountain tribesmen to fight the VietCong in jungle warfare was jeopardised by several unforeseen factors, including a potential plot for his assassination by his military masters unless he left voluntarily.

This dedicated website is so that Vietnam Veterans, their families, friends, and colleagues can share the new information added to an already captivating story of one soldier's unique tour of duty.

On October 14th, 2025 an e-book and print-on-demand paperback will be launched and available from Amazon and other online sources.

This site will expand its contents with additional details from Barry Petersen's personal accounts of his life after Vietnam, of both military and civilian service.
